Our Story
Our Story
Sixty years at the loom.
ZaRugs began as a small family workshop and grew, over three generations, into a craft we still practise by hand today. What started with a handful of looms is now a house known for hand-tufted and hand-knotted rugs made the slow way — the right way.
Made under one roof
From dyeing the yarn to knotting, hand-carving, washing and finishing, every stage happens in our own facility, overseen by artisans who have spent their lives perfecting it. There are no middlemen and no mass production — only people who care about the piece leaving their hands.
Made to order, made to last
Because each rug is crafted after you order, it is truly yours: your size, your palette, your room. We ask for 30 to 40 days, because a rug worth keeping for decades is worth making properly. The result is an heirloom, not a purchase.
For homes around the world
From living rooms in Delhi to apartments abroad, our rugs travel securely and fully tracked. Wherever you are, the same hands and the same standard reach your floor.
This is ZaRugs: handcraft, heritage and honesty — woven into every knot.
